In Southern Ontario, we are lucky to have an incredible diversity of spring wildflowers, many of which only appear for a few weeks every year. Join Christa Wise, Interpretive Naturalist at The Arboretum, for these virtual sessions to learn what spring wildflowers might be popping up near you and how to identify them. These sessions will cover the identification of common species and we will discuss their unique natural history. Perfect for anyone wanting to improve their identification skills, get a spring refresh, or are curious about the flowers that appear every spring.

The land where The Arboretum now grows has been home to plants and animals for thousands of years. It was home to Indigenous peoples long before settlers arrived. We recognize the traditional, ancestral, and treaty lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Attawandaron, and Mississaugas of the Credit peoples, as well as the Dish with One Spoon covenant covering the Between the Lakes Treaty 3 lands on which the University of Guelph and The Arboretum now sit. We are honoured to work on and care for this land.
