Date:
Friday, January 30th, 2026 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Location:

Teaching Lodge (Nokom's House)

  • Storyteller: Cara Loft
  • Fee: Free

Cara Loft is a Haudenosaunee Woman and staff member in the Office of Teaching and Learning at the University of Guelph. We are so grateful for her coming back to enrich our heart, minds, bodies and spirits through story this Winter. This 4-Part series will take place the last Friday of January, Feburary and March and April.

We will start in a good way with song and smudge, moving into story and some land based learning. We will end in a good way with a closing song.

The land where The Arboretum now grows has been home to plants and animals for thousands of years.  It was home to Indigenous peoples before settlers arrived. We recognize the Dish with One Spoon territory, the treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Between the Lakes Treaty 3 lands on which the University of Guelph and The Arboretum now sit. We are honoured to work on and care for this land.
