Date:
Saturday, February 15th, 2025 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Location:

Format: IN-PERSON at the Arboretum Centre

  • Instructor: Wild Ontario
  • Fee: $12 (plus HST) per person.

Discover how to use your eyes and ears to identify Ontario's Owls. Through a wide variety of hands-on activities participants will learn about owl plumage, calls and behaviour, habitat requirements, migration patterns, and owl folklore. You'll get a chance to meet some of Wild Ontario's owl ambassadors, and then be shown tips and tricks for finding owls in the wild!

Please note this is an indoor program only in our Arboretum Centre. Pre-registration is strongly advised to ensure your spot. Should there still be space available we will also accept payment at the door the day of the event.

The land where The Arboretum now grows has been home to plants and animals for thousands of years. It was home to Indigenous peoples long before settlers arrived. We recognize the traditional, ancestral, and treaty lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Attawandaron, and Mississaugas of the Credit peoples, as well as the Dish with One Spoon covenant covering the Between the Lakes Treaty 3 lands on which the University of Guelph and The Arboretum now sit. We are honoured to work on and care for this land.
